‘Oman and Australia - Our Growing Ties’

On Saturday the 9th of October 2010 the Omani Students Association in Palmer At 9am the Omani national anthem was played to formally open the Exhibition in Palmerston North's city square. The Guest of Honour's were Mr Ian Lees Galloway MP and Mr Ian McKelvie, Deputy Mayor. Various other members of Palmerston North City Council, professors, lectures and staff from Massey University also attended the opening ceremony. The weather wasn't particularly welcoming but the Omani students made up for that, welcoming the general public throughout the day. The Exhibition was made up of eight tents including a main stage. Each tent represented different aspects of Oman including:
