You have two options to renew your passport either you can obtain a pass passport or permanent passport:
Pass Passport
In order to renew your passport, the Consulate-General requires the following:
- 4× passport size photos (please ensure your name is written on the back of each photo)
- Original passport
- The cost is AUD $30 and can be paid in cash, an Australian money order or bank cheque made out to the Consulate-General of the Sultanate of Oman
- Please post to the Consulate only through a courier or registered mail
Please note that once these details have been received the Consulate-General will issue you a pass pasport, which is valid for a duration of 6 months upon issue, is only valid for one entry and can only be used to enter Oman
Permanent Passport
In order to renew your passport, the Consulate-General requires the following:
- Letter of request
- Complete the permanent passport form (click here)
- Orginial passport
- Orginal Omani I.D.
- 4× passport size photos with a light blue background and national costume to be worn (do not staple photos and please ensure your name is written on the back of each photo)
- 5 Omani Rials if you are under 15 years old or 10 Omani Rials if you are above 15 years old.
- Please post to the Consulate only through a courier or registered mail
Please note that the Consulate-General can not guarantee the length of the process for the permanent passport
